Why do we like being up high?

Why do we like being up high?

I like to think it's at least a little about perspective.

Feeling small and insignificant, yet realising our enormous individual ability to influence and impact each other - and the world - in a positive way.

Or perhaps it's the reward?

Uphill activities are tough. They demand patience, resilience and respect. We're rewarded with satisfaction of achieving a goal and a view pleasant to the eye (sometimes...)

Or maybe it's comfort?

From up high, we could see carnivores and enemies want approaching, giving us time to hatch a plan. It provides us with a primeval sense of comfort and safety.

Or is it about the the chill?

Nature doesn't rush or stress. When we connect with it, it allows us to do the same.
