An evening of adventure and inspiration with Luke and Hazel Robertson, Explorers in Residence for the Royal Scottish Geographical Society and Arctic Guides for The Polar Academy – a charity that transforms young people’s lives through exploration, with them leading ski expeditions in Greenland.
Join Hazel and Luke, who grew up in Stonehaven and attended Mackie Academy, on a journey, from skiing solo to the South Pole in Antarctica, to travelling the length of Alaska by kayak and bike; from mountainous Greenland to the changing world of Arctic Norway, as they share stories from some of the world's wildest places and interesting people.
Hazel and Luke's talk will be followed by an "in conversation with" style interview, hosted by renowned photographer and author, Andy Hall. There will also be an opportunity to ask any of your own burning questions!
Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start, with a short interval midway through the evening. There will be cash-only soft drinks, tea and coffee available for purchase, and a raffle, with all raffle proceeds going to The Polar Academy charity. Please remember to bring cash if you'd like to buy raffle tickets!
Free parking and toilets available on-site. Please email luke@everyday-exploring if you have any questions.
Thanks and we hope to see you there!
