Wild Women Series: Introduction to Wild Camping

The test pilot for a new type of event - the ‘Wild Women Series’ - led by Hazel Robertson and for women only.

The purpose of these events is to empower women to get outdoors and connect with the natural world to enhance wellbeing and confidence.

Wild camping includes anything not in a campsite and can mean in sleeping under canvas in a remote Highland glen, with billions of stars overhead, falling asleep to the sound of a stream alongside and waking in the morning with no one around, having a restorative swim in the nearby loch and feeling completely in touch with the natural world.

Living in Scotland, we are so lucky to be able to camp most places due the Land Reform Act, as long as we treat the land with respect.

On this Wild Women Series: Introduction to Wild Camping, you’ll have a short hike on Saturday to reach the wild camp spot, a night in the wilds of Scotland and a hike back on Sunday. You’ll learn what to look for in a camp spot, campcraft and cooking and navigation.
